  1. History matters in our world today because it can help us solve problems that we face. Events that had happened, like the Holocaust, can help us figure out what was done wrong, and what fixed it. Now that we know about the wrong ways of the Nazis, there will probably never be something like the Holocaust again.

  2. It matter cause it teaches us a lot about the world. If there was no history we would not like any thing from most of the time (Ms. D note: Strive for Accuracy and check your spelling and punctuation before posting. Don’t forget to post your class period.)

  3. History matters. We should learn about the history that has happened. Like things like the holocaust or WWI or WWII. These things effected the past and the future we need to learn about these terrible things so they don’t happen again.

  4. History matters because if it didn’t, people wouldn’t know what happend before in history and bad events might happen all over again. Also people wil want to know what happened before like historians and scientist.

  5. History matters because we need to know what happened in the past. Without history, we would have nothing to learn from. History is an important thing and everyone should know about history. That is why history matters.

  6. History is very important to our world. If we did not record our history or even recognize it, we would not be able to try and fix our mistakes from the past or at least make them better. The houlacaust (sp.) is an example, because of our mistakes of the past, today we are trying to prevent bullying and being prejudice to each other.

  7. It matters because we learn a lot about it. We would of not of learned about hilter and what he did. 10. The reason that history matters is that with out it we would repeat the worst moments in history like wars and things like chernoble. Becauause we would not have learned from our mistakes. (Ms. D note: Strive for Accuracy and check your spelling before posting.)

Without learning how to make shelter, we would never know how to build a house or apartment or skyscraper…History is so important!(Ms. D note:Don’t forget to post your class period.)

  15. History matters because without it we would never know how life has changed during the past few years, because of history, slavery is no longer present and racism is still going on but not as much as it was before. As you can see, history has changed the future and has made life much easier.

  16. History is important because with out history we know nothing about the world in the past. Also we would not know who we are , where we live, what year it is or anything.History does matter.

  23. History maters because we don’t want to repeat bad things that happened in the past. 24. History matters because we should really know how all of are history was founded. Also some day we will be history. Humans need history to learn from their mistakes , without history we would be lost in a world of mistakes and accidents … Plus without history , people would be put out of teaching Jobs and mankind would be lost as we know it . History matters because it is our base of life , everything we do today is based off of events and inventions that occurred in the past , we triumph off of our understandings of our past and we must continue this way until the day mankind stops walking the earth. (Ms. D note: Strive for accuracy and check capitalization and punctuation before posting. Don’t forget to add your class period.)

  25. Hey Ms. D!
History matters because we can use it to learn from our past mistakes that us humans have made. By doing this, we will learn that the things we have been doing wrong are in fact wrong, and we’ll hopefully learn from those mistakes so that they won’t happen again. For example, after the Holocaust, the Germans had realized that what they had been was wrong, and although the Nazi’s didn’t show it, they knew deep down what they did was wrong by murdering over 11,000 innocent people (Ms. D note: 11,000?! Sounds like Mr. G helped with this comment. I think you meant 11-12 million. Is that correct?). This is why history matters; so we can learn from our mistakes.

  31. History matters to us because we learn from it. Through history, we have learned what to do and what not to do. In World War Two, Adolf Hitler killed millions and millions of people. We learned from this to never allow some one to do that again by stopping it as early as possible so it doesn’t develop.

  32. History is important so we can learn from it. Without remembering our history, we would keep repeating what we have already done in the past, good or bad.

  34. History matters and is very important. It is important because if we didn’t have history and learn our past we could make the same mistakes human have made in the past. 40. Pollution can really kill the earth. If you don’t listen or don’t pay attention the earth can really get hurt and it could die. The scientists will think the earth will die earlier then they expected. If we don’t stop polluting the earth we could all die from it and not live to see what we wanted.

  41. History matters. We need history to make sure we don’t repeat mistakes that have previously been made. If a politician in history has attempted something that didn’t turn out well, then with history, we know not to repeat that mistake.

  42. History matters because it teaches us a life lesson and tells us things we did in our pass. It tells us the mistake we made. Without history we would not learn how todo certain things. (Ms. D note: Strive for accuracy and check spelling before posting.)
