  1. In our opinion, we think that we are equally as smart as the adults in the video. Adults and teenagers answer questions similarly because of what we have been taught. Nobody is perfect, which means that people in general will get the answers to some questions incorrect.

  2. I think we are smarter than most of the adults on the video. I think this because they weren’t familiar with some of the questions being asked. We know more about the branches of government and Declaration of Independence than most of these adults. Some of them knew a couple of the answers but a lot of them were way off! One guy said there were more than 50 states and another guy said one of the senators was Dr.Suess. This is why we are smarter than most of these adults.

  3. Yes we are because, we are currently learning about this. The adults in this video clearly do not remember what they learned in the past about this topic. All In all we are smarter then these adults.

  4. We are smarter than the adults in the his video. They could barely answer 2 of the 10 questions that they were asked. We know all of the answers to all of those questions like having 100 senators and that the Declaration was written in 1776.

  5. We are smarter than the adults in this video. We have learned this information already, and are in the process of learning about it more extensively. The adults probably had not learned or heard this information since they were in school, therefore they probably do not have a complete recollection.

  6. Yes, we believe we’re smarter. We knew that there are 100 senators in the U.S. not 36. Students go to school everyday, and they learn. All adults do is sit around and run around shopping. Students also have a better memory because their younger, so therefore I think we’re smarter.

  7. Yes we are smarter than the adults in the video. This is because we learn about this everyday and the adults haven’t learned about it in awhile so we know more about it. For example the one question about when the Declaration of Independence was written the one lady kept guessing and did not know what the answer was. We know it was written in 1776

  8. We think that we are smarter then most adults because it is fresh in our heads and we learn about it on a daily basis. It’s been a couple of years since adults have learned about the branches. For example, we know that there is 100 senators, 3 branches ( judicial, executive& legislative) and that the VPOTUS is Joe Biden

  9. We thin that we are equally as smart as the adults in this video. We think this because the information is fresh in our heads and they learned the information a few years ago so they had to remember it longer than we did. For example, we just learned that there are 100 senators and the adults learned that a few years ago. So we believe that we are equally as smart as some of the adults in the video.

  10. Yes we think we are smarter than these adults. We think this because we learn all about government and other related topics on a daily basis in school, when these adults are most likely out of school and it has slipped their memory. Also being under pressure probably made them nervous and just want to answer quicker to get it through. Also us as students we probably have more of an interest to it, when it seems like those adults don’t need to know this information for quizzes or tests anymore. Lastly, we learned important dates like when the Declaration was signed : 1776. One adult kept guessing in the 60’s.

  11. No, we do not think that we are smarter than the adults because we just learned everything. In December, we learned the year that the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776 and the amount of Senators- but they haven’t learned in years. Also, things may have changed a little bit since they were in school.

  12. We believe we are smarter than the adults in this video because we have learned the basics of our government. Also the adults filmed were put in the hot seat, and it made them more nervous to answer. We think it’s important for those, and all adults to be informed about their government. We should be thankful for our education to learn about our future’s society.

  13. We think students are smarter than these adults in this video because we have current education on the subjected questions and they might have not learned the things that we have. For example, we have learned that there are 100 senators( 2 for every state) but some of the adults thought it was 104.

  14. Yes we are smarter than those adults. This is true because we have better study skills. We pay attention during class and we know how to multiply. 50×2=100, not some other number. Lastly we don’t guess an answer 5 times.

  15. Yes. We believe we are smarter then these adults. For example when they were asked how many senators they answerd 104 even though they knew there is 2 senators for every state. Since we knew the answer and most of the other questions we know that we are smarter then most of these adults.

  16. Jenna and I think we are smarter than the adults. We think this because there were only two questions we weren’t positive about. Some of the adults did not get any questions correct. We believe that we are smarter that the adults.

  17. Yes, we believe that we are smarter than most of these adults. One group of adults couldn’t manage to answer one question correctly. This leads us to believe that most adults need to be higher educated in the American government.

  18. We believe that we are smarter than some adults. This is because when they were asked the questions that we were asked they were either way off or knew some answers. For example, some believed there were 104 senators when there are actually 100.

  19. Yes we are smarter than adults. The information is fresh in our minds, most adults have forgotten what they have learned in school. some adults didn’t Evan know how many states were in the US.

  20. I feel that we are smarter than adults because, they are older then us and most likely forget it! We 8th graders are just learning it and it’s fresh in your head! Some adults didn’t know there was 27 Amendments. Some of the adults guessed 104 senators and there really is only 100! We know this because they randomly guessed and 1 person got it right out of all of the adults. That’s how we know kids are smarter than adults

  21. We think we are smarter then the adults in the movie. For example, when the reporter asked the blonde when was the constitution was written she was randomly guessing in the 1700s. Another example is when they asked how many senators where in the US, one person said there where 104,48 and many other guesses. To summerize, we are defiantly smarter because they forget everything they learned about the government in school.

  22. We think that we are possibley smarter than those adults. Mostly because the information that they were being asked is more fresh in our brains. Most adults answered wrong and some answered randomly because they learned it a while ago. We have it fresh in our brains.

  23. We think that people should be more educated in the government. It is good to know so that you can share this information with other people. We knew almost all of the questions asked like we knew that the vice prsesident is joe Biden.

  24. Yes, we think we are smarter than the adults in the video because we know how many senators there are in Congress. Not 36, but 100 senators. Also, when asked when the Declaration of Independent, they responded 1740’s when it really is 1776 and we knew this. Moreover, we are smarter because when asked how many Supreme Court Justices there are, one person said everything but 9, which is the right answer. Lastly, the guy who was told we have two senators in each state, but said there is 104. There are 50 states. 50*2=100 senators. We are smarter!

  25. Yes, we are smarter then the adults because this information is fresh in our minds. For example the adults learned about how many senators there are a very long time ago, we just learned it and no it.

  26. We agree that this question can’t be answered with the information provided. One may say just because they know more about a topic they are learning daily they are smarter, however in another topic they may not know anything while the adults know most of what there is to know. The intelligence of one person cannot be judged off of one topic since everyone’s knowledge differs. So we choose not to answer.

  27. We believe we are smarter than the people in the video when it comes to this topic. One reason is we knew most of the answers when the people got many of them wrong, the only questions we had problems with was the question we were never taught like, who was one of the Supreme Court justices. Every other question we knew, since some adults didn’t know the rest we are superior.

  28. Overall we do believe that we are starters than the adults in the video. We think this because some of the adults didn’t know some of the important things in our Government. For example the people in the video didn’t even know how many senators there are. Also they didn’t know how many Supreme Court justices there are. These things are important to our giver entente and everyone should know those details especially adults.

  29. Well no, but after we took the test and knew the anwsers we were…I guess smarter, but not really….ugh sorry. 🙁 We think this because a few adults actually knew a lot it was just a couple that had no clue. If those people had reviewed their facts prior maybe they would have known. I know when adults get older they forgot a lot they learned in school except the basics. I’m sorry but a lot of old adults I know forget a lot.

  30. Yes, we think that we are smarter than some of the people in this video because we knew most of the answers and just learned about the government. We also had backGround information. The people in this video did not know basic information and the didn’t know who the congressmen and women wore but they knew who the vpoutus was.

  31. We are not sure, because the people in the video went to middle school a while ago, but still knew a lot. Also, it was out of the blue and were still knowledgeable. However, some people were clueless like the girl with the glasses and blonde hair. She didn’t even know when the deceleration of independence was signed in 1776. So, we think we fall in between those people.

  32. We are smarter than these citizens even if they are older and have had more schooling than us. For example, when asked how many senators there were, many people couldn’t answer correctly and some were way off. On the other hand, when asked to state how many amendments there were some knew and we did not. Overall, we are smarter with the exceptions of a few questions.

  33. Rebecca and Kayleigh D
We are both smarter than an adult because we knew the answers to the questions that many of the adults in video. For example, one of the questions was, “how many senators are there in congress?” We both knew that there were 100, while some adults didn’t. Another example is that a few people didn’t know how many Supreme Court justices there were and we both knew that the answer was 9. However, there were a few questions that we didn’t know the answer to. For example, we do not know any current Supreme Court justices.

  34. We believe we are smarter than adults. We knew how many senators there were and the Vice Presidents unlike some of the other adults. We have just learned about the government and are more educated in this part unlike the other adults in this video.

  35. Yes we believe that we are smarter than adults. This is because the information is more “fresh” in our minds than theirs. For example, they didn’t know how many senators there were or that 2×50 is 100 and not 104. When we took our quiz, we got the senator question correctly because we just learned it.

  36. We believe we are smarter than the adults in this video because we knew answers that they didn’t. Examples of this are, no one knew the date the Declaration of Independence was written but we know that it was written in 1776.

  37. How Socretes died: Socrates died by hemlock poisioning. He was forced to commit suicide.

  38. Socrates was poisoned . He was sentenced to death for not honoring the Greek deities and for corrupting the youth with his ideals. The poison was hemlock.

  39. The comment that says Nikki on it is actually supposed to be Nicole and Cole

  40. The adults in the video above do not know about our government and this is not okay. It is our responsibility to know things such as how many senates we have in congress

  41. We are shocked that Americans can be so oblivious to such a large aspect of their lives. We think that Americans should have more knowledge about our government. The people had little to no knowledge of our countries past or current state.

  42. Yes, we believe we’re smarter than adults in this video because half of the adults didn’t know anything about the Civics. For example , one of the questions were How many senates are in the United States, the correct answer was 100, but most adults answered 104, or 36. This clearly shows that most adults haven’t learned about Civics or forgotten about the subject.

  43. We are smarter than the adult in the video because we are younger and we are now getting more current information about this unit. As you get older and are not in school you tend to forget about these important thing. They should try to remember because they are US citizen.

  44. Yes, because kids have more knowledge than adults. Kids have a better education than adults. In the video the adults guessed a lot and most kids don’t have to because they are smarter.

  45. We know more about the U.S government because we are learning about it. The adults weren’t taught recently about our government so they may have forgotten. They still should know about our government because it’s important.

  46. We were suprised that most of the answers they said were wrong. They live in the state and they should know the answers. Half of them didn’t even know how many Supreme Court justices there were.

  47. This video comes to show how even actual citizens aren’t educated on the USA government. Also, it shows how they have no idea what’s happening within the country yet they still want to vote and have a voice.

  48. The adults in this video are smarter than they make them out to be. We think that they think they aren’t smart, but really they are. And they know more than they think.

  49. We are smarter than the adults on this video because they don’t know their basic facts about civics. This is because we just learned about it in school, and they didn’t.

  50. We thought it was surprising that some adults didn’t know when the declaration was signed. We can understand that some questions were hard to answer. However we didn’t expect so many people to get these answers wrong.
