7GT Expo 2021

This year, students in seventh grade Gifted and Talented studied the United Nation’s Global Goals for Sustainable Development. As a result, 17 students across Yellow and Blue Houses formed a team to create a project that would also become their 20% Time Project. Inspired by Urban Creators, an urban farming organization using hydroponics in North Philadelphia to address Global Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, our students commenced their year-long project to create their own Aquaponics Garden here at Marlton Middle School. We are so proud of their efforts to achieve the Global Goals here at MMS and encourage community participation!
Fun Fact: There are 17 Global Goals!

Charles, Eddie, and Zoey read Young Adult Literature and recommended books to their peers based on Global Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities. These recommendations are viewable by all students and staff at Marlton Middle in our school library on a Bulletin Board and here via a Digital Slideshow. Check them out at your local library. Zoey highly recommends, “The 57 Bus.” Charles highly recommends, “Darius the Great is Not OK.” Eddie highly recommends, “Milkweed.”

Gabe chose to code a game focusing on Global Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being. Play and let us know what you think by posting a comment.
