  1. So this is Ben and even though im not in your class i still think it would be great to have a virtual pet for the kids. Maybe even they could post pop culture connections to virtually feed the animal. (P.s that is the best way to get kids to comment on the blog.)

  2. Hi Ms.D! Brett from D period sent me here ๐Ÿ™‚ You taught me two years ago and now in US History class I am learning a lot of the same things you taught me and I remember how much I loved your class!

  3. Conches eat algae so we could feed it some green algae that we can get from virtual seaweed

  4. Idk what we could feed it but I will research what they eat right now I a follow up comment! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Hii Ms DiGangi!! This is Haley from two years ago posting on behalf of my brother Drew, c period. Happy Birthday Conch!

  6. I see my classmates would like a class pet! Our class pet should be a pony because they don’t take up as much space as a horse! Then name the pony “mustang” good idea huh? Also I just realized Tyler P spelled my name Elice and not Elis:(

  7. I think that it would be a good idea to adopt a virual pet because, like Brandon and Ryan, I think it would teaches responsibilities without taking actual care of a pet and it would be a fun addition to our class.

  8. Yes I think having a virtual pet would be a great idea. It would be lots of fun and could teach us responsibility. We should get an alpaca or a octopus!

  9. I think having a virtual pet would be a very good idea. We would learn responsibilities of taking care of a pet like feeding them and supplying them with water. I think our virtual pet should be a Mustang since it’s our school mascot!

  10. We think a virtual pet would be beneficial. It will teach us the responsibilities of a real pet but without having to take actual care to it. A pig would be cool to have as a tribute to Piggy in LOTF.

  11. I think we should adopt a virtual pet maybe a virtual lion because it represents lion king and muffs a connecting to social studies.

  12. I think that we should adopt a fly as our class virtual pet. I say this because the movie, “The Lord of The Flys” demonstrated core values of our curriculum. By seeing a fly everyday, it will remind us about being a good citizen and contributing to government when we are old enough.

  13. Hi Chris, Thank you for posting! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Cole, Mia, Shy, Melissa, I think Mr. H would agree with you!

  16. Hi Katie, Your argument is persuasive! Here’s some presidential doggy trivia: What were the names of President Johnson’s two beagles?

  17. Hi Nikki, GReaT iDea! Hmmm…wonder if other students would vote for a conch and how would we feed it…

  19. Hi Ms. DiGangi! I am posting on behalf of Ryan Maccariella from Period U. I’m Gabby Valentin and I am a senior. I had you for homeroom as well as Social Studies back in 2010, but I was pretty shy so I don’t know if you will remember me. I definitely remember the creation of this blog as well blue bucks and Leo DiCaprio’s cutout on the wall. ๐Ÿ™‚

  20. This is Nicole posting on behalf of Lindsey in N period. I’m a Sophomore now and the blog has always been a great tool to utilize.

  21. I am Sammy P. I am a senior and am a yellow hall graduate of 2010. I was sent here by Jenna from N period.

  22. Hi Ms. D, I had you as a teacher 2 years ago. Nick is my brother and he is in your N period class

  23. Hi Ms. DiGangi, this is Alyssa P. I graduated in 2010, currently a senior. Jenna from N period sent me to comment. I miss your class!

  24. Yo Ms. D it’s Tyler P from your home room n 1st period class say hello and that Elice and Rosey told me to go on here n say somthing so heyyyyyy!

  25. Hi Mrs. D. I feel that in honor of the Conch’s birthday our virtual class pet should be a conch. Haha, how original. Well i feel that this is a good idea because it relates to the conch shell that symbolized the wisdom that Piggy had in the movie, lord of the flies. It would also be the same symbol that the Conch was named after of course. I know that i am posting a little late and that this isnt very formal, but i do feel that this is a very good idea.

  26. I think we should get a virtual pet. I think we should get a dog or something since many historical people owned dogs (presidents and Indians). I like the pet idea but im a little confused about how we will take care of it and stuff. BU twe should really get some kind of pet.

  27. Hi, I am Julia. I am commenting for Brandon. I am currently a sophomore and I only spent my 8th grade in yellow hall because I was in purple hall which closed the end of my seventh grade year. Yellow hall is awesome!

  28. Hi Ms. Digangi, I’m posting this for my brother Garrett in N period. I remember when you first made the conch and got so excited when we had the first visitor from outside the US! I can’t believe how many people from all over the world have visited it now

  29. This is Timmy C and Mary in D period sent me. I am a junior in high school now and had a great time in yellow hall.

  30. Hi its Ben; i’m here because my sister Marina told me to comment. I was in Yellow hall. By the way Social Studies is the best subject.

  31. I believe we should make a mustang our virtual peg because it is the symbol for our school. We also learned that social studies has things to do with horses in history.

  32. I think we should adopt a virtual pet. It would make class more fun and help us learn to appreciate animals more often than we do.

  33. Hi Ms.D,

I think that we should adopt a virtual pet because it would be another thing that makes Yellow Hall 8th grade social studies unique. Also, we could have a student everyday do something that has a relation to the pet such as feeding or playing with the pet. I think that it should be a horse because that represents our school mascott. To conclude, I feel that we should have a virtual pet for the class to make our class even more unique.

  34. Yes, I think getting a virtual pet for the blog would be pretty fun. Like some others said, a mustang would be very cool since it is our mascot! It could represent this blog very well since it is owned by the members of MMS!

  35. I agree with Cole C because yeah I think we should adopt a horse/mustang because it does represents our school symbol which is the Marlton Mustang.

  36. hey ms. d you had me in your homeroom 2 years ago and u also taught me social studies, now you have to teach my sister the antagonizer. p.s i have more swag than she does. my sister is catryna and is in your d period

  37. I think we should adopt a class pet. It would be something to make class a lot more fun. It could be a thing where we would have a student of the week to go on everyday after school and give the pet food and water. I think the pet should be a dinosaur since there now extinct and there really cool.

  38. I think we should adopt a horse/mustang. It represents our school symbol the Marlton Mustang. We also learned that some people had to through horse over board to make the boat said better because it was hard to sail with so much weight and not a lot of wind. It is also the transportation of many Indians.

  39. This is Chris C posting on behalf of Hayley in d. I’m a junior and yellow hall was and always will be awesome.
